Involvement

There are many ways to get involved with parish life - in fact, our community is founded on the small ways that each parishionner contributes to the whole. Have a look at our different ministries, and see where you are being called to serve. It's a fantastic way to meet new people, and develop new skills, while serving the community.

Liturgical Ministry -

Liturgical ministry involves serving the community at our Masses. This includes junior and senior serving on the altar, lectoring (reading the Scriptures), being a Eucharistic Minister, as well as many other ways you can get involved. See here for more details and for rosters.

Music -

Holy Name is blessed with several unique and active music groups. See this page for rosters, and for information about how to get involved!

Parish Committees -

Information about our parish committees, including the Pastoral Council and Finance committee, their meeting times, and how you can take part.

Hospitality -

Our hospitality team provides tea, coffee and morning tea after Mass, as well as assisting with funeral catering and other aspects of parish life. They are always looking for more help, and it is certainly one way we can all easily be involved.

Altar Society -

The Altar Society looks after the flowers and cleaning of the church, and would always love your help, in whatever way you can get involved.

Catechists -

In Australia, we are blessed to have the opportunity to go into public schools and teach the Catholic children about the faith. But this wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team of Catechists, who are always looking for more helpers.

Sacraments of Initiation Team -

SOIT look after the Sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and Communion for children, a vital part of our parish life.
