Children
As a family of believers, Holy Name is a "child friendly parish"! We welcome all families, no matter how young or rowdy your children, to join us on Sundays and at all our celebrations.
Babies
Baptism is available, to welcome your child into the Church, the family of God. Please contact the parish office to arrange a time and to meet with Fr Steve.
The church also has a crying room, at the front left of the church. You are most welcome to "retreat" into there if need be, but we do invite you to stay in the church when you can - children are a vital part of our community, and it was Jesus himself who said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Children
Each Sunday morning during school term time, Children's Liturgy is offered during the first half of Mass. This gives primary school aged children the chance to meet together, hear the Gospel story in language that is easy for them to understand, and learn what it means for them, as well as singing songs and making craft relevant to the week's Gospel. The kids love it, and it gives parents the chance to listen to the readings and homily without distractions! We invite you to come along any week you are at 9:15am Sunday Mass.
